Lugones Bishop convened the 1st Week of Lomas de Zamora Social
Lomas de Zamora (Buenos Aires), November 18, 2009 (AICA) Bishop of Lomas de Zamora, Monsignor Jorge Lugones SJ, will preside on Saturday November 21 the opening ceremony of the 1st Social Week of Lomas de Zamora, be realized at 9 in the House of Culture of the Municipality of Almirante Brown (Stephen Adrogué 1224, Adrogué).
The local bishop, through committees and diocesan Caritas Pastoral Social, called by the CGT (General Confederation of Labour) and the regional Central de Trabajadores Argentinos (CTA), as a concrete expression of labor as a key point social.
The call is made for all citizens, political leaders, social, trade union, productive, educational and professional and pastoral workers who perform services in different areas of the six municipalities that make up the Diocese of Lomas de Zamora, Almirante Brown , Esteban Echeverria, Ezeiza, Lomas de Zamora, President Perón and San Vicente.
The objectives of this conference are to celebrate 50 years of Social Week of La Plata (1959-2009) and deepen the Episcopal Conference paper Argentina "Towards justice and solidarity bicentennial in 2010-2016" which proposes a national priority of the bicentennial Homeland contribute to "eradicate poverty and promote development of all."
Also, as part of the 1st Social Week, the discussions were completed on 28 November at the Instituto Tecnológico San Bonifacio (Sirit 370, Park Hills) from 9, which will present various reports to deepen the social question and we will work group in order to perform actions on the part of the national priority of the Bicentennial.
